This painting is a part of a series that i have been working on for 4 years. The series depicts stages of abuse, mental, physical and many more forms. In each painting as a viewer you can decipher the messages hidden in the art, each individual might find a piece to relate to, knowing that every human being has been touched by abuse in one form or the other. This painting represents the couple, the lovers. Without love the world stops turning.

Shielded from the outside world represented by the blue hued lines, the lovers are safe, procreating and at peace. though initially the painting was created without the splatters of paint around the couple, the circumstances surrounding the painting changed. explosions, war and anger surrounded the lovers, the bubble of love never bursted, so the splats were added surrounding them to represent the hardships love goes through to survive.
