Cette œuvre de la série “ Nostalgie”, intitulé “Cendre”, reflète les restes de mémoires visuelles qu’on garde après la vue des anciennes maisons Libanaises , à Beyrouth, ces maisons qui semblaient fuir du temps et de l’entourage, comme une espace hors de lieu où le temps s’arrête .

À Beyrouth, en allant à mon travail, j’avais l’habitude de contempler les anciennes maisons qui se trouvent parmis les immeubles, ces maisons oubliées mais qu’on ne peut pas passer de leur côté sans les remarquer, ces ruines, ces couleurs, ces ornements me touchent profondément,de ces maisons et sur un fond de collage transparent j’ai dessiné une partie d’une fenêtre à peine présente, les couleurs révèlent la blancheur de cendre, les cendres d’une vie. Les écritures utilisées en lettres arabes renversées sont des chansons traditionnelles et des histoires personnelles, ces écritures sont renversées pour leur donner une valeur de couleur et comme ornement plus que leur valeur linguistique.

Mixeds médias sur toile, couvert de deux couches de vernis mat de qualité supérieure.
