Maral Maniss is a Lebanese visual artist and ceramist, Living and working in Beirut. She holds a MFA from the Lebanese University (2017). A diploma in art therapy from the International Academy for Building Capacity, (2016). Several certificates like GUINESS WORLD RECORDS, Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs…
Her art works has been exhibited and found in Los Angeles, Kansas City, Canada, Paris, Monte Carlo, Marseille, India, Dubai, Syria, Lebanon... Three of her artworks are found at MACAM museum at Byblos.
She was a coordinator of art events and shows in Lebanon.
She has taught workshops for organizations like, NAHNOO, Fista, She teaches art at Private schools.
In her multidisciplinary work, Maral Maniss is engaged in a profound investigation on the possible relations between life, memory and nostalgia and their attractive representations. She tries through up-cycled arts, colors and lines, drawing images to recover what was erased or to hold what could survive. She digs through her own biography, her childhood, her city Beirut and family and women to make visible the road on which, the passenger who she is, continues to walk.
