The sound pillows alternate between sleeping and waking, bringing out a musicality of bass and soft waves, the composer’s imagination facing the object.
Pillows are tactile and sound surfaces. The association of the object with the world of sleep should make listeners wander in sleepwalks. The sensuality of contact with the pillowcase, the music coming from inside the pillow, wants to offer a tactile and supersensitive experience of sound, the experience of another form of chamber music.
