Video (mono-channel) 2019 4 min. 30 sec. This video is narrative-based experimentation that reflects the women›s own views about what it is like to live with the painful body, and is performed by them. It manipulates different layers of meaning and seeks to arrange experiences in a temporal sequence, as the events of the disease unfold and express the changed relationship between body, self, and society with deep involvement. I aim to visually and editorially give form to the vibrant and evocative descriptions of lived experiences in a poetic approach by choosing to work with strict esthetic strategies: repetition, scale, slow motion, extreme close-up, sound, and meditative or metaphorical content, which speaks from a temporary narrative position based on art.
