Eyes like a shutter mind like a lens
I am a Lebanese photographer based in Beirut, Lebanon.
My admiration for art started at a very young age,
when I participated in an art competition at school and - to my surprise - I won it.
Due to the difficult Lebanese circumstances, I had no choice but to learn by myself and build on the skills I had, to explore what I liked the most. So I learned art through trial and error and kept on learning.
More than a decade ago, I discovered my unstoppable desire to capture the uniqueness of Lebanese old villages and immortalize portraits of its people, alongside the special aspects of nature that highlight the Lebanese identity.
Here I am now, more than a decade later, still enjoying my Sunday rides with my camera, always looking for new places to discover, longing to hear the story of an elderly man who will tell me all about almost forgotten eras and traditions.
A year ago, I immersed myself in abstract photography, drawn to it by its surreal and poetic aspects. It offered me the opportunity to explore a world where painting and photography overlap, thus satisfying my passion for both
In 2009 I expanded my knowledge in photography through an extensive course at the AUB about the advanced photography techniques.
I have participated in BEIRUT PHOTO FAIR for 2 seasons in a raw 2012 and 2013.
My work was featured many times at Annahar newspaper.
